King Charles is facing calls to strip Prince Andrew of his "prince" title after Buckingham Palace announced thathe has lost the use of his remaining titles. The brother of Virginia Giuffre - who alleged she was forced into having sex with Andrew - has urged the Royal Family for him to lose his lasting title.
On Sunday, new damaging reports revealed that Andrew sought to obtain personal information about Ms Giuffre through his police protection officer, it has been reported. According to the Mail on Sunday, Andrew asked for Ms Giuffre to be investigated just before the paper published an image of them together. The prince reportedly "sought to dig up dirt" on Ms Giuffre, according to The Telegraph.
On Friday, Andrew announced he will be giving up all of his remaining titles after ongoing scandals continue to overshadow the work of the King and other members of the Royal Family. While Andrew will no longer be able to use the titles in a public capacity, he will remain a Prince.
However, Prince William will "be more ruthless" and will likely ban Andrew from his coronation when he is crowned monarch in the future, it has been reported. The 43-year-old will also likely ban his disgraced uncle from all future public and private events.
The most well-known title Andrew will no longer use in a public capacity is the Duke of York, as well as a number of official roles such as Counsellor of State, Knight of the Most Noble Order of the Garter and Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order (GCVO).
Prince Andrew has consistently denied any wrongdoing and rejected Virginia Guiffre's allegations against him.
